The Role
This is the perfect role for you if you get excited by the idea of working for a scale-up. iwell is scaling fast and is expanding to multiple European countries in the coming 3 years. Our goal is to become the leading player in dominant European Markets. We are market leader in The Netherlands, recently started in Germany and also opening offices in Belgium and the UK. And there is more to come! As our People & Culture Operations Specialist, you are responsible to help iwell grow and professionalise, assisting with all aspects of people processes. You will handle the entire employee lifecycle, from onboarding to off-boarding and everything in between.
It's the broadest HR role possible, and a huge learning opportunity if you are interested in all aspects of this field. You work closely with your People & Culture colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
In our dynamic scale-up, you will work closely with the Head of People & Culture to execute the action plan and next steps for HR priorities.
This involves creating guidelines, building templates as well as the day-to day implementation of (new) HR processes to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations.
You will work on projects involving topics such as: employee engagement, compensation and benefits, career levels, salary frameworks, HR tooling, performance & growth, learning and development.
You also work on improving culture, support on employee cases, making things more efficient and fun!
Additionally, you'll provide expert advice on onboarding and offboarding, select and implement new benefits, and continuously improve people operations.
Whatever HR challenges might come up, you'll jump onto and help to do it the best way possible.
What we need you to bring
Relevant experience, probably between 2-4 years, in a broad people role. You've worked as People Operations Specialist, HR Administrator or in a similar role.
You enjoy People Operations! The role is more than people ops, but it's the foundation on which we build. You know how HR processes run, and you love making them scalable and efficient.
You can work independently, and you know when to ask for help. You'll often work in a duo or as part of a team, so you're not left by yourself, but doing a project yourself shouldn't scare you.
Experience gained at start-ups / scale-ups. iwell move fast and look for practical solutions. Ideally you understand the phase we are in and the speed with which we work.
You are an excellent planner of your own time.
You are creative, tech-savvy and love innovation. You always looking for new ways to work smarter and more efficient. When it comes to creating presentations or designing a visual process - you know your way around in tools! (or you are a very fast learner!)
Knowledge of Dutch employment law, able to advise on employee matters. International experience of German, Belgium and UK law is a plus.
Creative language skills. Your Dutch and English language skills have to be excellent, with a knack for understanding the right tone of voice.

Hours: a full time (5 days per week / 40 hours) role. We can also consider 4 days / 32 hours.
Location: This is a hybrid role, where most time is spent in the iwell office. There is some flexibility, but you tend to work 4 days per week in the office.
Location note: You have to be currently based in the Netherlands, without visa requirements. We can’t sponsor or relocate someone for this position. The location is Utrecht, and the role requires working from our office.
