The Role

As a Technical Sales Engineer at iwell, you will leverage your expertise in electrical and civil engineering to manage the technical aspects of our BESS and EMS solutions. You will be responsible for overseeing the technical design of our projects. You like sharing your knowledge and prefer a hands-on approach. You’re never afraid to explain technical details to customers or partners, but you don’t need to do sales. That’s what you have sales colleagues for. It’s all about electrical and civil engineering.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop tailored BESS and EMS solutions for clients, integrating electrical and civil engineering principles.

  • Provide technical support to your sales colleagues by doing the above.

  • Assess electrotechnical installations at customer’s site.

  • Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine optimal technical project configurations.

  • If required create Single Line Diagrams to provide clarity on the solution and create a clear demarcation between the involved parties.

  • Collaborate with the engineering and product development teams to provide customized solutions that meet client requirements.

  • Manage EPC-parties who are sub-contracted by iwell or the end-customer.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in a sales engineering role, preferably within the energy sector.

  • Strong understanding of BESS and EMS technologies and their applications in C&I settings.

  • Knowledge of technical standards and connection specifications of the network operators (TSO’s/DSO’s) desirable

  • Communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing sales opportunities.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

  • Willingness to travel for site visits as required.
