What you'll be doing

Our mission is to optimize local energy usage by delivering smart and flexible battery storage. You’ll ensure seamless communication between our EMS and key energy devices, such as PV controllers, inverters, and battery modules. Your work is crucial in enhancing our system’s flexibility and reliability, directly contributing to our mission of advancing sustainable energy.

As a software engineer, you will be part of the Software team. The team consists of front-end developers, back-end developers, software developers and you! Together, you are responsible for our entire software stack. From our user interface to low level battery control.


What you’ll be responsible for

  • Integrating new hardware and software into our existing code base.

  • Developing and integrating communication protocols with external devices.

  • Debugging hardware and software issues in our lab or at customer sites.

  • Providing support for existing assets to ensure reliability and performance.

Job requirements

What you'll bring

A hands-on and enthusiastic software engineer mindset, thriving in an agile team environment. Your passion extends to tinkering with hardware, unraveling its intricacies, and devising innovative solutions. You like to dive into communication protocols and devise a standardized way of integrating.

Some additional key points:

  • Minimum HBO level education in computer science or several years of experience as a software engineer.

  • Experience with modern C# or other modern programming languages.

  • Knowledge of Linux and Docker.

  3. First interview: Meet with a future team member and our people manager so we can get to know each other even better, this is your chance to really dig into iwell!

  4. Assignment: We’ll test your programming skills with a technical assignment.

  5. Second interview: Meet with two future team members and discuss the assignment and your technical skills.

  6. Job offer: Signing of contract!
